  • Please dress to be comfortable walking, and in accordance with the weather forecasted on your tour date. We conduct tours - rain or shine. It’s always an adventure and lots of fun.

  • You may reschedule up until 72 hours before your tour date. There are no refunds or rescheduling day of tour.

    Lone Star Food Tours does limit the number of guests per tour so that we can create memorable, personal experiences.

    If you choose to cancel your tour within 72 hours of the scheduled start time, you will not be eligible to reschedule.

  • If you have a food allergy, please call before purchasing your tickets.

    This is a food adventure, designed to highlight various types of food. All tastings are pre-set with our partner restaurants and cannot be changed at the time of the event. Dairy and meat are a staple of Texas cuisine.

    Some dietary restriction can be accommodated and are charged an extra fee.

  • You may purchase tickets the day of the tour with a credit card through our website if space is still available. We highly recommend purchasing tickets in advance of tour date.

    Cash purchases at the tour site are not accepted.

  • Our tour includes three generous tastings over 2.5 hours. We find that this is equal to a large, satisfying meal.

  • Our standard adult ticket price includes three pre-selected alcohol pairings.

    A valid ID is required to be served alcohol on our tours.

    Feel free to circle back to any of our partner locations at the end of your tour to purchase and enjoy additional alcohol.

  • Yes.

    All guests must purchase a ticket even if they don’t plan to eat. Each partner restaurant reserves a limited number of seats for our tours, and seats are available only to paying guests. The ticket fees help cover the costs of all the food tastings and also to pay for your tour guide’s wages and our overhead.

  • No.

    If you feel your guide does a great job, please show your appreciation with a tip. We tip the waitstaff at all food stops 20% on your behalf, and suggest a tip for your guide in the same range.

    You may ask your guide to charge the credit card you used to purchase tickets or tip in cash or use Venmo.

  • We provide personalized, VIP service to every guest on every tour. For this reason, our public tours are limited to 10 guests. This is a great activity for couples, friends, out of town visitors and special interest groups.

  • Our tours are curated food experiences designed for adults. Young adults 18+ years old are allowed to join in on the fun at the discretion of their accompanying parent. Alcohol is served as part of our tours for adults 21+.

  • Yes.
    Each tasting stop will have a bathroom available. Your tour guide will point out available facilities at each stop.

  • Yes.

    All tours are wheelchair accessible. All partner restaurants are ADA compliant.

  • Rain or shine, heat or cold, we dine. In case of ice that makes driving dangerous, we will notify you to reschedule or refund your tour. Please dress for walking, the weather forecasted for the day of your tour and enjoy a great adventure.

    Currently, all our tours are only offered in English.

  • Yes, there is free parking available near the beginning stop of each of our tours.

  • Tours are appropriate for most fitness types. We walk a little over a mile over the course of the tour. We walk short distances, then stop for food, then walk and eat again.
